This is my blog, which also acts as my sketchbook, my galleries, my writings on particular subjects for FNA1930, and my general ramblings.
It’s all written in the form of me talking to myself. In doing find it easier to discuss with myself what I am doing, thus clarifying and validating it to myself. This gives me degree of greater understanding of what I am trying to say and the best means of saying it.
At art college my main aim is to use art as a tool to gain understanding - not as an end-in-itself. I am not aiming for any product, I am aiming to understand concepts I find confusing or interesting. My aim with this blog then, is to translate ideas to myself; to use them as a record of my work for the modules; and as a method to communicate with anyone who happens to read.
My Galleries are top right, with photos of things I’ve experiemented with along the way.
Further down the page on the right are Categories, such as Studio, Nothingness, Medium, Institution, FNA1930 etc - these can be clicked on to filter to only the posts relevant to that topic. Otherwise, as the posts are in chronological order, you will not see my studio work without scrolling past my FNA1930 work first.
